The Druckman Residence, circa 1941, by legendary architect Rudolph Schindler. Designed to integrate seamlessly with its surroundings, Schindler executed a residence that captures and communicates with nature. At the base of the garden sits a modernist swimming pool; an oasis in the middle of the city, more like a lake perfect in size and proportions. A previous listing of the property notes that the pool was designed by the great Richard Neutra. This aligns with Neutra's concept of giving occupants a visual and sensory connection to both water and to nature. Set back from the street behind a gate and a beautifully landscaped entryway, the house unfolds. Clerestory windows choreograph natural light throughout the day amid a palette of white plaster and original plywood surfaces.
